One of my (and my wife) favorite restaurants, small place (12 or so tables) - reasonable wine selection that won't break your wallet and great food. Never had a bad experience there in 20+ years

Good food. Had the Reuben which was tasty but the bread got soggy quick. Good iced tea. Decor is kitschy. Not really French menu as far as I can tell

I've been coming here for years (my parents live right down the street), and have always experienced high-quality food and service. About 10 years ago I hosted a dinner to celebrate my parents' 25-year anniversary. My last visit this May was no different. Unfailingly kind and professional staff. Delicious food: We had 3 appetizers, 5 entrees and 2 desserts, all wonderful. Notable is the fettuccine with filet tips and the venison special. My elderly mom's original pasta dish had too much garlic for her taste and the server graciously insisted on bringing another of the same dish. Then the chef came out to make sure it was to her liking. Very much appreciated. I've always loved the location and interior of this restaurant. Highly recommend!

Delightful as always. Fine dining without all the fuss. Lots of local wines and beers.

The sauce with my wife's salmon was incredible and I had a perfectly cooked duck breast. We had the pork belly appetizer, and it was amazing- the right amount of meatiness, with great balance of sweet and touch of balsamic- even with how seemingly overused pork belly is these days, it was a delight. The atmosphere is nice but comfortable, great for a special occasion without being uptight.

Chef Bob and his team deliver a wonderful dining experience once again! Bravo!

I celebrated my graduation yesterday in this gorgeous place. happy to tell that we passed a sensational evening and the restaurant was clearly the reason for that happy gathering. The stuff helped in a lovely way, the food was extremely good and my guests were extremely glad. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Very nice atmosphere, women's restaurant. Salads variety large enough for sharing. The view sadly of the ocean growing in. Many variety of dishes, I had a Reuben sandwich I suppose something for a man , but cheesy for two women to share. Beautiful crowd and service.

Wonderful dining experience and excellent food selections. We tried the duck special and scallops with polenta. One in our party enjoyed the surf and turf. Blueberry bread pudding was the perfect topper!

I hate to admit it, but I'm a foodie. And this place is off the charts good. I sometimes don't like rating great places, because I don't want the place to get too popular. But the owners are such great people, I don't want to deny them their praise. On top of great food, the service is equally good. I've eaten at all the good places in the Santa Cruz area, and this is the best without question.

We come here for breakfast for the food and atmosphere. It's small and quaint and always feel special. It really reminds me of being in France

Café Sparrow doesn't disappoint! Welcoming ambiance, knowledgeable staff, and great food. Pricing is appropriate for the quality of food and service. We had awesome filet and calamari picatta. Nice and quiet. Romantic in a rustic way.

Definitely a spot worth stopping over, the food is awesome and well prepared, the rates are fair and it is regularly neat here. 5 stars.

Really good food on the way to Monterey

Now that the traditional tourist season is over, we were able to drive right up in front and walk right to a lovely table! The wait staff is so attentive and helpful! And then comes the delicious food! I opted for crab cake benedict and yes, it was real crab , with homemade delicious Hollandaise sauce! We opted for the endless mimosas and were not hurried through our meal at all! I love this place! I have been there several times for dinner, but this was the first time for Sunday brunch! I will return!

Excellent service. Farmhouse atmosphere. Little bit fancy, food worth the price, server made us feel at home even with us a bit rugged from the beach. Kids meals served with potatoes and veggies. Can't wait to go back!

Cafe Sparrow has an unassuming store front, but the atmosphere inside is elegant and welcoming. It has a long record of dedication to quality dishes and fresh food. The menu changes daily and they always offer a variety that includes something for everyone. They are renowned for their pork chops, but the fish and beef prep is on par. Sparrow also offers an interesting variety of wines. The French influence is present in every aspect. This is my go to for special occasions and one of the best restaurants in the bay area.

Great food (the Ahi Tuna Salad is delicious). A little bit loud however at peak hours. Wait staff is very friendly and kind. Overall a nice experience but would be nicer with less tables.
